...a couple of housekeeping items ... firstly, as for lack access of any of my old pictures electronically, I went trolling for some toonumbar images... firstly. the image at the top of this page found it on a google search which resulted in some accomodation on the iron pot creek (thankyou). The image of the family by the campfire looks so much like Toonumbah flat, and my first reaction was "I gotta put that up, they have got to be Richard Standfield's cows !" When I put my glasses on, I noticed that they are in fact horses ! So,needless to say, any image contibutions would be wonderful.
And in fact, speaking of livestock, I have put the cart before the horse. As I have limited email contacts, I appeal to all who relate to this memory project, however it may evolve, to pass on the blog address, or my email to friends and family presently, or formally residing in the Afterlee Toonumbar Area.

Revisiting the Times
Hello friends, Margy Alexander here. I am writing from Portland Oregon, where have been living with my partner, Brian, since November, 2006.
A few months ago, in an endeavour to reach out to people who contacted me, after the event October 22nd 2005, I wrote a few emails.
One response brought news that Alice Yeates would be in Portland, with her partner Shon the next month ! Needless to say, I was thrilled. Alice and Marli being best friends as wee kiddies, and her dad Tony a great friend to me. Their visit, was for me, a wonderful occassion.
The idea of a 'community' blog seeded in a dormant area of my brain, and was fertilized by desire to revive contact with long 'lost' friends and family forged over some extrordinary years, in an area known as Toonumbah.
Those memorable times in Toonumbah... what better excuse for the electronic revival of the Toonumbah Times ?
